Coffee Beer and Wine...Bring it on!

What if the best cafe / pub / restaurant / bar in London was the humblest? Or the healthiest even? ‘Best’ probably because it features all these categories at the same time. The weirdest thing about this place is that it took me ages to know what was the actual name of this organic beverage haven...The Hive of Vyner street in East London! No clear signs outside besides a fancy logo, no name on the menu, this place is just extremely bright and located on the corner of Vyner street and Cambridge Heath road. And it has a holistic and fun approach to conscious dining in London.

Tired of busy and loud coffee shops in London, I was looking for a relaxing place to work on my laptop during the day. I discovered an inspiring creative space where the most welcoming staff serves organic coffee and natural wine.

At the entrance on the right, a blackboard with their ‘favs at’: 8 am: Overnight oats, salmon sandwich, cold press green juice (and coffee, coffee, coffee) 1 pm: Tempeh sandwich (with sauerkraut), squashdilla (=roasted squash; scrambled tofu, goat cheese)...and coffee 4.30 pm: Almond biscotti, Acai ball (The Hive sprouted buckwheat granola with hemp seeds)...and coffee 6 pm: Wine...What else? Clearly soon to be our favorites although I have added to the list a cashew and pistachios brownie with chocolate salted caramel or raspberry ripple, vegan and gluten free. And a very invigorating cold pressed ginger tea.

The set is simple, with white painted walls. Visitors have the option to sit on small or wide communal tables or perched on high green leather stools. The light is mainly natural due to the large windows; the bronze detailing on top of basic light bulbs adds up to the cool vibe. And the music, even if it is hard to avoid, always just seems to be appropriate and in line with the weather and the general mood of your week!
